Pedro Páramo or the book as rhizome

Abstract

The next article analizes the narrative structure of the novel Pedro Páramo by Juan Rulfo, from Gilles Deleuze’s and Felix Guattari’s philosophical view on the concept of rizoma. Rhizome-book is heterogeneous, it connects from one point to the next, it shows an assemblage of stems without any linearity or uniformity. Rulfo’s novel inscribes in this rhizomatic plane, goes further under a multiplicity without an unidirectional direction, but as a set of divisions, in a system of flux, of lines that interconnect with each other widening their dimensions, their signification.
