The present work corresponds to the Introduction of the book by Pierre Jourde and Paolo Tortonese entitled “Visages du double. “Un littéraire theme”. Nathan Université. Paris, 1996. The professor at the Universidad del Valle Alejandro José López has prepared the Spanish version of this text. Its purpose was to nourish the bibliography of the fantasy literature courses taught at this university.
