Transcultural surroundings to the bantuisms in the cuban colloquial language

Abstract

Within the processes of transculturation, it is also necessary to mention language as a form of expression typical of a people. Cuba has not been the exception; the Cuban colloquial speech assumes in its repertoire a series of Bantu words. This was possible due to the arrival of native peoples from African regions who spoke dialects from this language. The phenomenon itself gave way to a series of interrelationships that have different behaviors: on the one hand the Castilian gets synonyms of the Bantu or bantuisms supplant words in Spanish (as well as can describe some cultural behavior that the Cervantes language cannotdenote); as well as bantuisms they can be displaced by words that come from the original languages ​​of the first inhabitants of the Caribbean.
