Bolivian road movie and Route 36: paradigms for the new Latin American cinema

In the Bolivian contemporary film production film type that stands out is the Road-movie (road movie), a genre in which the story takes place during a journey. The serious and committed subject to political cause of Bolivian film is being displaced by ironic, romantic, teasing and / or tragicomic by the new generation of filmmakers issues. Striking as in a country divided by geographical locations and economic issues, where each of the 36 ethnic groups that form to fight each other afirmaren as identities, cinema just walk to the counter to that. Using the concepts of mestizaje, mediated oral traditions, and the theoretical framework of semiotics of culture for the film and literary analysis, the paper intends to discuss the relationship between cinema and the real object put on display as a sign. Also, to show how the Bolivian Road-movie is set, evoking imaginary Bolivia (Latin America), as complementary disgruntled with eigenmodes that differentiate it from hollywoodino genre.
