On Primitive (Digital) Accumulation Anatomy: Bodies And Corporations In Electronic Literature Produced By AI

Abstract

The training of artificial intelligences financed by a handful of corporations curtails the visual diversity of bodies and massively reproduces serialized images; facing this, digital literature opens a small wound in this hyperproductivity through algorithmic insubordination, which gives rise to a profound problematization of the contemporary technical phenomenon. In this context, I recover some assumptions of the Marxian concept of original accumulation that allowed the strengthening of industrial capitalism to rehearse a speculative exercise on its possible digital update in the phase of informational capitalism. Three pieces that coincide in the deinstrumentalization of machinic language will serve me to present this argument: Self Portrait by Felipe Cussen, Diurnus Requiem by Diego Bonilla and M(é)nad(e)s by Karen Palacio. Faces, bodies, affects. I propose to discuss here how digital literature questions the anatomy inscribed in the language of the code proper to the form of accumulation of informational capitalism.
