This text, in a reflective tone, is an initial exploration derived from the rereading of the book “Maricones Eminentes: Arenas, Lorca, Puig, y yo”, by Jaime Manrique Ardila. In these short pages we propose to investigate how faggot and the drag gesture become tools for literary criticism, challenging gender and sexuality norms through the deployment of a reading strategy based on questions. Furthermore, it provides dialogic lines with a transitory selection of authors who put sexual identities in tension with respect to the dominant representative frameworks in politics, culture and literature.
